•  A first try-out workshop of Prevent has been organised on May 14-15, 2007. Articles

• One article, on the avoidability of cancer in Europe, based on Globocan data, was accepted by the International Journal of Cancer on October 16, 2006.

Presentations

• On June 29, Isabelle Soerjomataram presented the results of the Scenario on differences in incidence within Europe on the IEA EEF European Congress of Epidemiology 2006. The powerpoint presentation of this presentation can be downloaded here. 
• On July 4, Isabelle Soerjomataram and Esther de Vries presented these results on a poster on the 19th meeting of the European Association of Cancer Research. The poster can be seen here.
• October 18-20, Esther de Vries and Isabelle Soerjomataram presented a poster on the Eurocadet project as a whole at the UKACR & NCR Conference 2006: Building a Bridge. The poster can be seen here.
• On October 20, Isabelle Soerjomataram presented the adapted results of the Scenario on differences in incidence within Europe on the UKACR & NCR Conference 2006: Building a Bridge. The presentation can be seen here.

Ongoing work

• Prevent is under continuous construction. A first version is currently being evaluated and data on population forecasts (demographics) and exposures are being collected.
