Databases
- In August 2006, Esther de Vries and Isabelle Soerjomataram have already prepared a database for smoking and body-mass index (BMI) for 29 European countries. Eurocadet-participants can open these databases if they log-in to the website. The data are from national statistics, downloaded from Eurostat and formatted in a way so that they can be used directly as input for Prevent. The only thing that needs to be changed is the variable 'time' as it depends which base-year is chosen for prevent. If countries have data on smoking prevalence and BMI among children (aged 0-15), those data can be added.
Publications
- From a related project, the WHO published 'Attributable causes of cancer in France 2000', which can be accessed here.
Presentations
- The outline for this work package (the collection of the prevalence data and relative risks) was presented by Mathieu Boniol on the workshop meeting in May 2007.
