In the past month, 2 successful workshops on the use of Prevent were organised in Copenhagen (Denmark) and Heidelberg (Germany).

 

 

 

 

On June 9 and 10, 2008, the first Prevent workshop was held in London, United Kingdom. Participants learned about PREVENT and worked with it.

 

In the recently published paper , titled 'Cancer causes and prevention: A condensed appraisal in Europe in 2008, major determinants of cancers are summarized. It is followed by recommendation on individual behavior modification as well as policy changes.  

Within a meta-analysis of 282,137 incident cases, increased BMI is associated with increased risk of common and less common malignancies.
